Ty Gwyn Inn and Restaurant
The food was absolutely historic and I cannot recommend it enough.
The Ty Gwyn Inn enjoys a stunning location overlooking the river Conwy on the edge of the famous Welsh village of Betws-y-Coed, in the heavily wooded Conwy Valley. This Coaching Inn is centuries old, watch your step and mind your head! Ty Gwyn has 12 attractive bedrooms, 8 with en-suite bathroom.
A beamed Lounge Bar is one cosy place to enjoy our highly commended cuisine. We offer good inexpensive bar meals, a full a la Carte Menu and vegetarian dishes all complemented by an extensive wine list.
We always endeavour to use fresh local Welsh produce; we cook only to order and are proud of that our food is held in such high regard by regulars and visitors to Betws-y-Coed.
Recently stayed in Betws--coed for three nights (18 July - 21 July). We did not stay at Ty Gwyn but ate at this establishment on two of the three nights. The food was absolutely historic and I cannot recommend it enough. For my next trip in October 2008 we intend to stay there as well. Congratulations for two memorable meals.
".....and as for the meals, well, the quality was outstanding. All the waiting staff have a smile on their face and were happy to discuss the menu. Basically my experience there was so good I am returning in April for another three nights.
"The food is all fresh, ( no quick cook frozen stuff here) and is prepared and served not only looking good, but proved to be a real taste sensation thanks to the great talent of an excellent chef, the wine list is extremely good with quality wines at reasonable prices. We highly reccommend this hotel, and pass on our thanks to the staff.
